Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer a futuristic concept in human resource management—it is rapidly becoming the foundation on which modern HR functions operate. A recent survey by Genius HRTech DigiPoll reveals that six out of every ten HR professionals now view AI as a core priority across their organisations, underscoring a significant shift in the way companies recruit, manage and develop talent.
The survey, which gathered responses from 1,811 HR professionals across diverse industries, highlights a growing confidence in AI-driven solutions. Beyond the 60% who already consider AI central to HR operations, an additional 15% believe its importance is steadily increasing in critical areas such as recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning and employee services.
The findings indicate that efficiency remains the strongest driver of AI adoption. Nearly 60% of respondents cited improved productivity and operational efficiency as the primary reason for integrating AI into HR processes. Meanwhile, one in five professionals pointed to cost optimisation and smarter workforce management as key benefits.

The impact is already being felt across organisations. More than four in ten respondents reported significant improvements in the speed and effectiveness of HR processes, while many others observed moderate gains. Automation is helping organisations streamline recruitment cycles, accelerate onboarding and deliver employee services more efficiently.
The survey also suggests that AI is beginning to reshape workforce structures. A sizeable proportion of respondents believe technology is reducing dependence on repetitive and manual tasks, allowing HR teams to focus on strategic initiatives. Others noted that AI is enabling more informed workforce planning and supporting the transition toward skill-based organisational models.
Industry experts, however, caution that successful AI adoption requires a balanced approach. While automation can enhance productivity and decision-making, organisations must ensure that human judgment, transparency and ethical governance remain at the heart of workforce management.
As businesses navigate an increasingly digital workplace, the message from the survey is clear: AI is no longer an optional tool for HR departments. It is emerging as a strategic capability that will influence how organisations attract talent, manage performance and prepare their workforce for the future.
The growing integration of AI into HR signals a broader transformation of the workplace—one in which technology and human expertise work together to build more agile, efficient and resilient organisations.
