My choosing HR as a profession was more out of a curiosity to understand a very important an integral aspect of human interaction, that is vis-à-vis the workplace.
Employees now a days are very focused and goal oriented. They tend to move to next better opportunity easily hence our process and documentation has to be very strong.
No such difference was there in job role. Worked mostly with media and manufacturing sector, my dream job would be to continue working in Industries as a HR professional.
My endeavor was, and always will be, to develop profound understanding of HR function, a wider role in the organisation and how & where HR can create value in the organisation.
The leadership team should have futuristic approach towards bringing the right culture with right resource in the organisation.
Employees who are appreciated at workplace are happier and more productive. When superiors take the time to express thanks, employees are more loyal to their team and the company as a whole.
