NTPC Limited has announced the elevation of senior HR leader Premlata as its new Executive Director (Human Resources). In her new role as Executive Director (HR), Premlata is expected to play a critical part in shaping NTPC’s future-ready workforce strategy.
Before this elevation, she served as Chief General Manager (HR) and Regional Head for Western Region-II at NTPC, while also holding the position of CHRO at NSPCL (NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited).

Premlata has spent her entire professional journey within NTPC and its associated entities, steadily rising through key HR leadership roles. Over the years, she has contributed across multiple domains including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management systems, leadership development, and workforce planning.
With more than 30 years of extensive experience in human resource management, organizational development, and leadership strategy, Premlata brings deep institutional knowledge of NTPC’s internal systems and workforce ecosystem. In these roles, she led major HR transformation initiatives, focusing on improving employee engagement, capability building, and organizational effectiveness across regional operations.
