JSW Steel, one of India’s leading steel producers, has appointed Sandiep Batra as President & CHRO – Steel & Corporate. He will also be part of the Senior Management of the Company, effective November 18, 2025.
Prior to joining JSW Steel, Batra held the position of Chief People Officer at Adani Airport Holdings Limited and Adani Digital Labs. In this role, he was responsible for leading the people function across three business verticals, including infrastructure and digital business, overseeing eight airports and supporting six joint venture businesses.

Batra has 31 years of experience across multiple sectors, including IT, Consumer, Telecom, Retail, Infrastructure, and Aviation. He brings a wealth of experience to his new role at JSW Steel. With a career spanning 31 years, Batra has developed expertise in human resources across multiple sectors. His diverse background is expected to bring fresh perspectives to JSW Steel’s human resource strategies.
His key areas of expertise include Building High Performance culture through effective performance management & Leadership Coaching culture, Driving the agenda of “Talent Vitality”, “Diversity & Inclusion” for building Fit for Future workforce , Build Organization effectiveness through Organization Design, and effective Change Management, Business Partnering at CXO level to deliver operational intensity and enhance people experience.
He has also worked with Vodafone and Landmark group.
