For me, my journey started to understand and map the experience in October 2003 when I received the interview opportunity at Atul Ltd, an organization which was borne along with our independence.
As an HR candidate, I travelled to Valsad with no information about Atul’s facilities or resources. My experience began the moment I stepped off the train at Valsad Station after an overnight journey-unsure where to freshen up or how to get from Valsad to Atul, especially since bus and auto services were infrequent in those days. I ended up spending about Rs. 700 in 2003 to freshen up at a hotel near the station and take an auto to Atul. The interview process lasted two days, where one has only prepared for one day, and only at the end did I learn that Atul had a fully equipped guest house and managed transport services within the company and to -from Valsad.
Then when I was appointed in Corporate HR for Talent Acquisition, my journey as a professional started to measure and provide enhanced Candidate and Employee Experience and this journey is continued even today...
