The reason lies in the way organisations typically respond to regulatory changes. Most provisions in the Labour Codes are tied directly to compensation, benefits, and financial structures. Companies, driven by the need to protect profitability, will inevitably adjust these provisions to fit their existing cost models. Employees, however, may perceive these adjustments as compromises that prioritise financial efficiency over fairness. When workers feel that their compensation is being reshaped primarily to serve corporate budgets rather than their well-being, trust erodes quickly.
