United Spirits Limited has announced the appointment of Chinmay Sharma as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, effective March 5, 2026. The decision was approved by the company’s board of directors based on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
The leadership change was disclosed through a regulatory filing dated February 13, 2026. As part of the transition, Sharma will join the company’s senior management team, succeeding Ms. Shilpa Vaid, who will be moving into another role within the Diageo group.

Sharma brings with him more than two decades of global HR leadership experience, having worked across diverse markets such as India, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Switzerland. His career has been marked by a strong focus on organizational transformation, culture building, and leadership development in complex, multinational environments.
Known for his expertise across the full spectrum of human resources functions, Sharma has led HR operations for large and often unionized workforces, while driving agile, collaborative, and high-performance organizational cultures. His professional journey includes senior HR leadership roles at leading multinational companies such as GSK, Philip Morris International, and Procter & Gamble.
With his extensive regional and global experience, United Spirits expects Sharma’s appointment to further strengthen its people strategy and support its long-term business objectives.
