PG The core value proposition a CHRO should bring to the CEO and boardroom is a forward view of how work is changing. We are moving into unfamiliar territory. AI is lowering the barrier to technology and blurring boundaries between functions. The challenge is increasingly about adoption and adaptability: can the organisation change how it works as the technology changes?

The role is already evolving. Moderna has brought people and digital technology under one leadership role. At Canva, the People team has helped drive company-wide AI learning and experimentation. This does not mean every CHRO should become the CIO. It means people and technology can no longer be treated as separate transformations.
