BR All organisations want to succeed. That is given. The nature of the hunger to achieve goals and the vision may be different. The key questions remain:
What do we really want to achieve as an organisation? Who do we want to be?
The answer to these questions is likely to determine what adaptation is really required. Organisations and leaders often shy away from answering these questions with clarity, fearing loss of other opportunities when they choose to move in a particular direction. What should they really say no to?
Leaders and boards often prefer the tried and tested and are unable to decide (in time) a new, bolder course of action. There is some tentativeness and vulnerability associated with all adaptation and change, and many leaders are very uncomfortable going through that phase.
