VB This paradox is one of the fundamental challenges of our time. On one side, we see a large pool of young talent ready to work, and on the other, companies are unable to fill critical roles. The issue is not just about capability gaps, although they do exist. The deeper problem lies in employability, outdated hiring strategies, and what I call the “perfection syndrome” among hiring managers. Organizations often look for a perfect candidate who fits every requirement, forgetting that even their best employees were not perfect when they were hired. Skills can always be developed with the right training and exposure, but potential is often ignored.
